The hills of Rubirizi danced with energy, conversation, and unforgettable memories during our signature event—Camp and Connect, organized by Wanderlust Nature Expeditions in partnership with Trekkers Club Ibanda, Mbarara City Hikers Club, and the Kitara Foundation for Regional Tourism.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mugogo Resort and its iconic crater lakes, this event wasn’t just about travel—it was about human connection, adventure, culture, and reflection. Every moment was designed to stir the spirit, stretch the legs, and strengthen the bonds among people who value purpose-driven travel.
A Weekend Brimming with Adventure and Connection
Our participants experienced a full-package journey that offered comfort, thrill, and discovery:

We elevated the excitement with thrilling add-on options:
🚴♀️ Space Cycling in Queen Elizabeth National Park, available at a special discounted rate of UGX 30,000 (down from UGX 100,000!)—an adventure through the wild like no other.
🌉 Zip lining, for those brave enough to soar above the treetops and catch a bird’s eye view of paradise.

A Moment of Purpose: The Open-Air Discussion
As the sun began to set on the second day, participants gathered for a reflective open-air discussion. With the lakes shimmering in the background and a cool breeze surrounding us, we talked about what this experience meant to us individually and collectively.
We shared lessons from nature, ideas for future collaboration, and dreams for what more we could do together—not just as travelers, but as a growing movement of change-makers. This conversation, raw and honest, became a cornerstone of the event. It reminded us that beneath the tents and treks lies a deeper desire to connect with something greater than ourselves.
